Third bomb threat made to another secondary school – best today news

Police launched an investigation on Wednesday after a man sent a message to the Oxford Mail claiming he was “going to bomb The Marlborough School in Woodstock”.

Police confirmed they found “no credible threat”. 

The man then made a new threat to bomb Gosford Hill School in Kidlington and renewed his threat to bomb The Marlborough School.

Today he sent a message to this newspaper to say Cherwell School in Oxford is now a target.

Thames Valley Police confirmed it continues to investigate the messages to identify those involved.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to reiterate that that there is no credible threat at this time.

“We would ask that anyone receiving messages of this nature to contact the police by calling 101 or using our online form referencing INC-20230524-0346.”
